March 20th Update
To our dear customers and partners At this shared time of deep disruption and uncertainty, my best wishes go out to you for the health of you and your family. I would also like to give you confidence around what we are doing at The Crump Group to continue to offer outstanding service to you and your loved ones. While production of our pet food and treats will continue, in an effort to protect our employees, and mitigate the risk of COVID-19 within our facility, The Crump Group has undertaken a number of initiatives. Firstly, as the well-being of our employees is our highest priority, at this time all travel, in person meetings and in store visits have been suspended Secondly, while the FDA advises that there is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 by food or food packaging (source: https://www.fda.gov/food/food-safety-during-emergencies/food-safety-and-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19) please be assured that food safety continues to be at the forefront of our day to day operations. Thirdly, we have implemented proactive measures in monitoring our supply chain, created plans to continue production with increasing absenteeism, redoubled our cleaning and sanitation crew and implemented ongoing education and resources around COVID-19 for our employees. Should COVID-19 reach The Crump Group, we want to ensure you that we are ready to escalate our level of response. Our response plan includes contingency planning for addressing any suspected or reported instances of affected team members, continuing business operations with reduced workforces due to quarantine, minimizing interpersonal contact, disinfecting any affected sites, and other rapidly evolving best practices. If you have any issues or questions you would like to discuss, we are on stand-by to work with you personally through email and social media. In the meantime we continue to monitor the situation and address it accordingly. |
At The Crump Group, food safety is our number one priority and as manufacturers we have tight controls over our day to day operations.
